Just finished reading our research document on semantic markup which runs to over 50 pages and was prepared after a lot of research and testing by our head of SEO, Salik. Alas, we think this is too valuable to publish. Suffice t say that semantic markup brings on-page SEO to a whole new level. We analysed microdata, microformats and RDFa as part of the research. E-commerce sites in particular benefit from diligent and robust markup in terms of getting product specific rich snippets in SERPs but every site we manage stands to benefit. We now move to implementing what we’ve learned and look forward to some great results. If you’re interested in learning more about how semantic markup can help your site, give us a call!
