This is the starting point. Our SEO experts work with you to identify the keywords and key-phrases that matter to your business and to establish your current rank in the various search engines for each. This is our starting point from which we look to make progress.
We understand the value in attaining top rankings not only for high demand (many searches per month) key-phrases but also for the many more specific, lower demand key-phrases. DPFOC identifies keywords right throughout the length of the long tail and aggressively pursues top positions for all.

Highly Competitive, Generic Key-Phrases
When doing a keyword analysis, most companies will identify the key-phrases closest to the Y-Axis immediately – the blue area in the graph above. These are the highly competitive, highly sought after, generic key-phrases for which demand (number of searches as measured on Y-Axis) and supply (number of companies targeting these key-phrases) is massive. A few examples would be “Insurance Broker” “I-Phone” “Web Design Company” “Golf Clubs” “Designer Jeans” etc. Attaining top positions for such competitive keywords takes a lot of time and effort as many, many companies have also identified these and are aggressively targeting them. If top ranks are achieved, traffic flows are enormous as such terms are searched hundreds of thousands of times per month. When you consider that over 70% of searches click on one of the first three natural results, you can see how lucrative it can be to attain a top three position for such key-phrases.
Competitive Key-Phrases
The next classification of key-phrases as represented by the green area are competitive in terms of supply and demand but not to the same extent as those in the blue area. For example, A few examples would be “Insurance Broker Dublin” “I-Phones London” “Web Design Company Birmingham” “Callaway Golf Clubs” “Armani Designer Jeans” etc. You can see that these are more specific than the generic key-phrases above and so demand and supply is marginally lower. Ranking well for such key-phrases is less challenging than those in the blue area of the long tail graph.
Utilising the Long Tail: Low Demand Key-Phrases
In terms of volume, there are cumulatively more searches performed for highly specific key-phrases in the red area - “Insurance Broker Balls Bridge Dublin” “Pink I-Phones London” “Flash Web Design Company Birmingham” “second-hand Callaway Golf Clubs” “Discount Armani Designer Jeans.” However, each individual key-phrase may only get tens or hundreds of searches monthly. Ranking well for such key-phrases is relatively simple due to low demand and supply for them. Many companies observe that strategically targeting high volumes of these highly targeted, low-supply key-phrases makes sense as ranking well takes less resources and such highly specific searches tend to have very high conversion rates.
